Info and picture, from UK Quarter web site: Oscar Mead - 16 years old, and currently at the Warsash Marine College in Southampton, but all his spare time is spent  refitting his Starflash.  He is looking forward to racing this summer - cannot go to Benodet as his father is at a qualifiers for the Etchell Worlds that weekend, but is expected for the QTC in Cowes. Currently undergoing rebuild. Wild Bean is an Oscar Mead boat building project with overall direction and technical assistance from Peter Morton. The boat is at the GBR Yard in Cowes and is having new sails and rig. We planned to be ready late March - now looking like late May!

Aout, Cowes Week: (14) - 14 - 8 - 5 - 4 - 8 - 3 = 42, 8e/13 quarters et 17e/41 IRC8. Coeff: 0.892, Laurence & Oscar MEAD

November, For Sale, Wild Bean - Ed Dubois Starflash - 2007/11/16 16:58 Rebuilt in the early part of 2007 Wild Bean has a new Z spar mast (with swept back spreaders), 6 brand new North 3DL sails and is looking for a keen owner. She has loads of sail area so is a light wind weapon and despite only being launched on the first Saturday morning of Cowes Week she was sailed by her 17 year old co-owner to some decent results. She has NO interior so the TCF is rather above what it ought to be but with a light weight interior and a bit of work this could be sorted out. She is sitting on a road trailer at the GBR yard in Cowes. She does need a new rudder blade which we are working on now. The sails have done 6 days sailing, and 2 have never been out of the bag. She doesn't have an outboard (it was a long sail to Lymington for the start of Race 5 in Cowes Week!)
