Previous Owner's comments: "Over the past several seasons (1989-2002) Obsession has been re-fit for competitive club level racing. Her mechanical systems and standing rigging are all in excellent shape and she is race ready. The bottom was taken down to bare glass and 10 coats of Interprotect 2000 hard epoxy barrier coat spray applied in spring of 2002, along with 2 VC17 topcoats. Obsession’s decks and topsides are Awlgrip and could use a re-paint to bring her into Bristol condition. Sailing in a highly competitive fleet on the southern end of Lake Michigan, Obsession has compiled an impressive list of nearly 100 trophy finishes since her current owners purchased her in 1989."

From Facebook 2024, Previous Owner's comments: "FARR design #136. Hull #5 of 5. Launched in 1984 as Freefall 2 and raced on the west coast till 1989 when we brought her to Lake Michigan. Literally hundreds of trophy finishes during our 21 years with her. We sold her in 2010 and sad to say she has been neglected sitting on the hard untouched for many years."

2014 From Internet, One Ton Class Facebook, information and picture: "with a long history of winning races on the Great Lakes. Garrett Marine built a few different versions of this design, I have the fractional rig with tall mast. I've not see another, there are a few sisterships around. Tequila is listed forsale, setup as a cruiser. Good fast boats, well made, can be a bit difficult to sail. You gotta love running backs and big sails. Double handing Waka Waka Sailing is a real good time".
