1985 May, Irish Team Admiral's Cup Trials: ?e/7, not qualified, Norman Cordiner & David Kennsett
25 May, from "Making Waves" Internet "Rating just under the top level is the other big' boat, Born Free, sailed by Norman Cordiner and David Kennsett. Designed by Ron Holland, Cordiner built Born Free two years ago in his fitted kitchen factory at Bangor, County Down. The only contender from the North, Born Free is a flyer in light winds, but is not at its best in heavy weather. Some observers have remarked that its performance could be bettered if a couple of feet were chopped off the mast."

2022 January, From Facebook "As she looks now", berthed in Italy,

New owner,
February, from Facebook Lars Klingström "On the road again to check BORN FREE one more time. I was in Italy back in late 2018 for a survey but the legal system in ITA was a bit challenging especially with a spaghetti lawyer not doing anything to help buying this beautiful yacht. New owner and she’s on the hard for rudder repair and clean up for the first time in maybe 10-15 years. I will check for marinas on the French side of the border to haul her for the extensive road transport through Europe. Nothing is decided yet for either boat and there’s other objects lurking around as well."
