2017 22 June, For Sale Reichel-Pugh 65 "TREBUCHET". 745,000 USD. Located in Rhode Island. First built as MONEY PENNY, then she was renamed VANQUISH, then BADPAK and now TREBUCHET. Built impeccably by McConaghy ( Sydney) she first started life out as an STC 65 and was very successful at the 2008 maxi worlds beating her sister ships handily. Then she became VANQUISH and her success continued from the east coast of the states to right across the pond with results both in the transatlantic race that Summer as well as the Fastnet ( 3rd overall) From there she moved to California with much success in both races to Mexico and to Hawaii. In 2015, her LOA was extended to 69 feet ( similar to her bigger sister WIZARD) and the results on the race course have continued with her last major race, a 1st to finish and 1st overall in the 2016 Miami to Havana Cuba race. She is currently stored out of the water and her owner ( a non profit foundation) is currently open to all offers

2023 We are very pleased to bring "MONEYPENNY", the Reichel Pugh designed, 69 foot, McConaghy built race weapon to the global market. This beautiful looking, very fast, IRC/ORC racing machine is in brilliant condition and fully optimised to win the most sought after blue water racing trophies, in Australia and around the globe. Currently dry stored at the Noakes boatyard, polished below the water line and above, this weapon is in turn key blue water race condition, in complete Category 1 safety, fully updated and about to race the 2021 Sydney Hobart Yacht race. Recently optimised under the watchful eye of Reichel Pugh, "MONEYPENNY" has had many recent updates too long to list in full, however with notable items per below:: Keel and bulb updates, fully faired, moved aft, optimised by Reichel Pugh. Additional carbon structure where needed to send it as hard as possible. A complete wardrobe of Doyle sails, all new between 2019-2021. Nanni diesel engine, fitted in December 2020. Complete electrical rewiring with new instrument package in July 2020. B&G H5000 with 6 x Garmin mast displays, 2 x Garmin displays in cockpit. Two x Zeus 9' displays at helm. Southern Spars carbon fibre mast with triple spreaders fully serviced with EC 6 carbon rigging checked in 2019 by Rigpro Valencia. Complete new running rigging 2020 plus many new items November 2021. Southern spars carbon boom with new locks. Full topside repaint 2020 plus cockpit floor in non-skid. Extra water ballast November 2021 - total tank volume 1800 kg. Category 1 safety gear current. 2024 February "Seahorse", For Sale Reichal/Pugh 69 - MONEYPENNY. 750,000 EUR. Moneypenny has been maintained to the highest standards by Noakes Group and dry sailed from its Sydney yard. She has a significant sail wardrobe from Doyle. Recent modifications and improvements to water ballast systems and keel have been carried out. Moneypenny finished 3rd in IRC overall, 2023 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race and was the CYCA’s 2022-23 blue water champion. This is an exciting and rewarding yacht for sailing at the highest levels on the world’s yacht racing circuits.
