2006 "Celtic
Warrior" (origionaly launched as Warlock) was built in Cape Town using
a radius chine plywood construction method. This method allows the builder to
produce quick and simple, yet light and strong, boat. No expense was spared
when the equipment was sourced to go onto the boat. Sparcraft provided a super
light but strong three spreader mast, while North Sails spent months developing
the perfect sails for the boat. Only the best Harken deck hardware was selected
and Southern Ropes manufactured all custom Spectra ropes. After
some extensive testing along the South African coast "Warlock" was
then sent back to the shed for some minor changes and upgrades, and a complete
new paint scheme. Brand new carbon fibre rudders were also ordered from Phil's
Foils in Canada."
Le bateau est transporté vers l'Europe. Pour faire la Mini Barcelona
en octobre.
