Juillet, After 2 years of getting 415 nearly Perfect, there's been a change in plans and as such, she's now for sale.  After being dismasted in the 2009 Bermuda 1-2, I began a complete inside out refit making her the best kitted out, all carbon, canting keel proto in North America.  With a new Southern Spars rig (with deflectors) equipped with continuous Gorilla/Future Fibres rigging, new electronics (NKE/Garmin/Raymarine), batteries, wiring, awlgrip, etc., the only things that came up in the "shakedown sail" (2011 Bermuda 1-2) were a broken daggerboard (I replaced the other one which is now built to the designer's plans and not a bodge-job like the one that broke) and a broken rudder gudgeon (both of which are going to be replaced as soon as the boat is hauled and on its trailer). Full specs available, serious inquiries only please.  $62.500 USD (with the daggerboard/rudders redone) $57,500 you fix it yourself (will cost about $3k).  Resonable offers considered.

December, received from Peter: "I am the current owner of USA 415. The boat is currently in Flordia and I have been retrofitting her for over a year. She has new paint, decks, instruments and more. The below picture is from the Tampa - Cuba Race. We sailed her double-handed in that race. This was a great check out race for us. We learned a lot about the boat. Next year we plan to race her in the double-handed section of the Pacific Cup. San Francisco to Hawaii."

The overall length is a mere 21 feet, but the articulating bowsprit and wide beam double the fun — making this pocket rocket capable of high speeds and ocean crossings. In fact, a whole fleet of them race across the Atlantic bi-annually with solo skippers in the Mini Transat Race! There are two divisions in the Mini class: production and prototype. The prototype boats, like USA415, have more advanced and liberal design features like a canting keel, dagger boards, carbon fiber hull & rig. USA415 is a particularly special prototype having undergone a full refit in 2018 with all new top and bottom paint, nke electronics system, new rudders and various other upgrades. Fully equipped racer. She is prepped and ready to race the PacCup in 2020 until it was canceled.
