2001 octobre: Le bateau de Ricardo Diniz fait des essais au large du Portugal. Ensuite il fera route sur le Brésil pour les célébrations des 500 ans Ricardo
The yacht is being trial sailed off the coast of Portugal, before being sailed single handed down to Brazil to be part of that country’s 500th year celebrations. As everyone knows, the mini transat waiting list was very long this year, however Ricardo was adamant that the boat would be sailing to Brazil either in or outside of the race to celebrate the long maritime and cultural links between the two Portuguese speaking nations.
27 novembre: collision avec un container, safran cassé, voie d'eau, il est obligé d'évacuer son bateau. Il était en route vers Madére. Il est récupéré par un cargo.

Le bateau a été ramené par un français à Madére. puis il est passé en chantier sur l'ile de Porto Santos.
