2014 DailySail, Fisher & Paykel – Grant Dalton's Farr maxi ketch 82ft  From John Burnie (13/7/10): ...was in Antigua some 18 months ago at the same time as Steinlager. Both yachts were available for charter and failed to sell for Antigua sailing week. What a missed opportunity for a wonderful re-run of these two yachts head to head... From Matt Jess (14/7/10): ESP - Publiespana, Challenge 93, Lanzarote corporate charter. Was for sale through Bach Yachting - owner has sponsorship for 2010 season. From Bernhard Eberstadt (3/9/11): ...was renovated and is around on the Canary Islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura available for charter. Saw her from my house the other day - what a sight!

Also a legend, in his way, is skipper Joaquin Quiroga, member of the first generation of Spanish ocean racers, two times Round-the-World participant on Spanish boats ("Fortuna Extra Lights"), Rolex Cup winner and holder of a Guiness Record in being the first, with his team, to sail more than 400nm in 24 hours. Realizing the unique nature of the boat and the ideal conditions in Fuerteventura he decided to bring the boat back to life there and to share the amazing experience of sailing this 30t giant with sailors and non-sailors of all ages. During the last years, the boat has been sailing in Fuerteventura, doing three-hour excursions for tourists - an average of 3000 persons per year sail with us - and six-day circuits around the Canary Islands, to Madeira and Agadir for small groups.

December, from Facebook, "Maxi Racer Fisher Paykel - looking a bit sad in marina Rubicon, Lanzarote. She was 2nd in the 89/90 under Grant Dalton - the winner was of course the mighty Steinlager 2 skippered by the late, great Sir Peter Blake.
These two yachts fought it out in some of the closest ocean racing ever - winning margins on 3 legs were between 20 & 40 mins ! I think she attended the Volvo Ocean Race Legends regatta ....not looking her best now but fully operational."

2023 October, For Sale The Legendary Whitbread Maxi-Ketch of Sir Peter Blake, Winner of the Whitbread Round the World Race 1989-90 being already a sailing legend is for sale. Almost 10 million use were invested in the conception and construction of Steinlager 2. She is in perfect condition, built under the supervision of Joyce Register in kevlar, carbon fibre and epoxy. It has had a total refit of 99% of all components. New refit 2016, improvement works have been carried out, including replacement of the main engine, change of the sails, new rigging, renewal of radio communications, replacement of wiring, protections and electrical switchgear, involving a total investment of approximately 170.000 €. In 2021 the 5 main winches + one piano winch were electrified and a new Mastervolt battery bank was installed for 6.000€. Dispatched for 50 passengers in day sailing and for 14 in unlimited sailing.
