2023 January, Class 40 #37 For
Sale - A Vendre, A solid, 2nd generation Class 40 in excellent condition.
Launched in 2007 and originally raced short-handed, she quickly made it onto
the podium with a win in the Rolex Fastnet Race adn was the Class 40 champion
in 2008. She continued to perform well in the classic offshore long-distance
races to include the TJV, Artemis Transat, before obtaining a win in The Atlantic
Cup, 2011. She continued to be campaigned up to 2020. Her recent owners have
converted her to a fully eco vessel with electric engine and hydrogen fuel
cell. She is fully emission free and recently has been used to conduct a plastics
survey to support a long term clean up strategy of the oceans. With an extensive
inventory of 2019 sails and modern equipment included in the price, she is
priced to sell and will be ideal for either racing (inside or outside class)
or fast cruising. As a vintage category Class 40, these boats get their own
ranking as well as overall scores within Class 40 events, allowing for some
competitive racing. In Europe these vintage boats are still being raced against
the best of the Class 40 fleet and can perform well. With many more miles
of performance racing, ‘Nuna’ is ready to be enjoyed by a new
owner who may wish to campaign her or just enjoy a fast ride. Price: £115,000
