Description:  Here you have a chance to get yourself a fabulous project yacht. Sunspinner is a Michael Henderson Half Tonner, moulded by Viking in Cowes back in 1969 (pre oil crisis so extremely well laid up) and originally launched in 1972. One of only three built ( Sunspinner Moonspinner and Starspinner) as half tonne racers before the design was modified and sold to Newbridge yachts who produced it as the Newbridge Spinner. Sunspinner now requires some further work to complete and launch, which sadly I can not complete due to health issues within the family. The keel has been removed and rebedded with new bolts fitted. The old 2 stroke engine has been removed along with its associated sea cocks and the hull made good. Lynch 8kw pancake motor has been fitted (along with new batteries) and test run (motor controller needs to be fitted after paintwork complete). Cockpit drains have been upgraded. The deck house can either be completed or removed and the original hatch refitted (no structural alterations required to do this and the original hatch is still onboard) The rig, sails and deck fittings are with the boat as is the cradle. Yard fees are up to date and are currently £15 per week but that is something you would need to agree with the yard. I would of course recommend viewing to satisfy yourself as to exactly what you are bidding on so please feel free to contact me if you should wish to. Boat is located in EX12 Any questions please feel free to ask. This is your chance to own a fabulous and pretty unique ocean going yacht for very little money and just a bit of effort.
