2008 Février, For Sale - A Vendre, 52' Goetz TP/IRC Year: 2004, Current Price: US$ 880,000, Located in Hamble, United Kingdom Hull Material: Composite, ISLAND FLING, one of the most famous racing boats in the World is now seriously for sale. Built with no expense spared, she started life as ESMERELDA and never lost a TP 52 race in 2004 and 2005. Sold in 2005 , she raced in Europe and then brought back to the 2006 Globals in Miami with a 4th over all and a 1st and a 2nd in the long and the coastal races. She was then bought by her present owner and was shipped to Hong Kong where she won the Hong Kong to Vietnam race overall under IRC and then was shipped back to England and she was second by one point in the IRC Nationals this past summer of 2007. Loaded for racing with new North sails, and in excellent condition, this design is one that will keep on winning for years to come.
